Muhyiddin should by now be suffocating badly because of UMNO and Najib

Media has reported that UMNO and Bersatu are facing a rough time negotiating seats for any possible general elections that Tan Sri Annuar Musa claimed will happen in 2020. None of these two parties, though are said to be ‘supporting’ each other since Perikatan Nasional (PN) took charge of the country’s governance, are willing to give in or give away their seats. Each seems to be wanting to win on their own. One good example is the determined Bersatu’s Pekan deputy chief Tengku Datuk Zainul Hisham Tengku Hussin who wanted to contest in the Chini N.93 by-election this 4 July after Bersatu decided not to do so. To date, only Barisan Nasional (BN) has placed its candidate Mohd Sharim Md Zain to contest. As a result, Bersatu disciplinary board chairman Megat Najmuddin Megat Khas then ‘threatened’ Zainul Hisham that his membership would be dropped immediately if he still insists on contesting. Does this mean that PN is letting BN secure its place in Chini? Why is Muhyiddin Yassin giving in to BN and UMNO? Or was he forced to let UMNO contest alone?

It is reported that the ‘differentiating teams’ in UMNO have strongly refused to help Muhyiddin Yassin to sustain PN. With Muhyiddin Yassin’s refusal to ‘join’ UMNO, along with few others who were offered to do so, is said to have offended UMNO, leading to PN’s weakening feet against Pakatan Harapan (PH). It was said that Muhyiddin Yassin had asked for some 50 seats from UMNO for PN, yet the request was turned down as Dato’ Seri Najib Razak had wanted to win everything for himself. This further suffocates Muhyiddin Yassin who is now desperate for majority support before the Parliament sitting this July. Who can he now turn to for support? Can he prove that he had enough SDs the way he convinced His Majesty The King before his appointment as prime minister?
