Muhyiddin is really ‘healthier’ with more showers of positions to Bersatu and UMNO members

Malaysian Mirror       Thursday, July 2, 2020
Media reported on 16 June 2020 that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is now cancer-free and very fit to work after the Sarawak Report’s claim that he went to Singapore for his chemotherapy during his Covid-19 quarantine weeks ago. Sarawak Report was then accused of making a blatant lie about the prime minister’s health monitoring that was done by doctors from Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. The question is, is it possible for medical experts to pre-certify that he is cancer free without him attending tests or treatments? Ironically, the ‘medical reports’ respectively issued by Dr. Lam Kai Seng of Pantai Medical Centre and chest physician consultant Tan Sri Datuk K. Ampikaipakan of Ampi Chest and Medical Clinic Sdn Bhd dated 12 June 2020 somehow displays a pre-meditated conclusion of Muhyiddin Yassin’s health condition in order to counter Sarawak Report’s allegation of him breaking his quarantine.

Muhyiddin Yassin’s health condition has been on the people’s mind as he has not given personal press statements. But what could have caused the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to suddenly issue a press release to ‘clear the air’? Why suddenly is he saying there are “no clear evidence of cancer currently and certainly no evidence of recurrent disease” i.e. ‘cancer-free’?

Indeed, Muhyiddin Yassin’s health condition is not a label to his ‘fitness’ to gain as much support as possible to stay as prime minister and lead Perikatan Nasional (PN). And almost each day, Malaysians are being updated with more GLC top positions being taken by political leaders, especially from UMNO, as part of his “new normal”. These updates are even more regular than his own feedback to many other issues that he was expected to answer. Is he ever going to continue to be complacent with all the buy-offs and continue to put on his ‘Abah’ mask? Is he not really shaken by the move done by Pakatan Harapan (PH) or Tun Mahathir to topple him and PN before the next Parliament sitting in July? Will he be able to get enough numbers in the Parliament on any backlogged or new bills concerning Sabah and Sarawak?
